Suraj: His Holiness Shenphen Dawa Rinpoche His Holiness Shenphen Dawa Norbu Rinpoche, son of His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche, and regent of the Dudjom Tersar Lineage, was born in Kongpo (Tibet), in the year 1950. He was recognized by His Holiness XVIth Karmapa as the reincarnation of Taksham Tulku and Tulku Yeshe, discoverer of numerous hidden teachings. Throughout his childhood and youth, he received from his father complete instructions in all aspects of Mahayana and Vajrayana Buddhism. He was also trained in several Western schools, giving him perfect mastery of the English language and complete understanding of the Western mind-set. His Holiness Dudjom Rinpoche appointed him his dharma heir, and as proof of his profound confidence in him, he authorized him not only to transmit the entire range of his teachings, but also to make whatever modifications he deemed necessary to facilitate their comprehension.
